Sep 20, 2023 · My wife and I visited Blithewold Mansion after reading reviews of places to go in RI. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. There are more types of trees, plants, and flowers than I have seen on any property we have visited. The views of the property and the view of the bay from the grounds are stunning. Tour inside the mansion was nice. This circa 1908 summer home, with its extensive gardens and arboretum overlooking Rhode Island’s Narragansett Bay, chronicles the remarkable lives of two generations of the Van Winkle family.
