Martha Emily Davis (born January 19, 1951) is an American rock and new wave singer-songwriter from Berkeley, California. She is most famous for being the lead singer of the band The Motels, but has also made several solo albums, contributed many songs to motion pictures, been on television, and worked onstage with Teatro ZinZanni . We perform primarily 70s and 80s pop and rock from bands such as Chicago, Toto, Journey, Steely Dan, U2, The Beatles, and many more. For larger city festivals, vineyards, and similar events we play a 10-12 person configuration with horns, keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, etc. For more intimate venues we bring a smaller setup with 5-6.After their bassist Lisa Brenneis left the band, they rebranded and called themselves Angels of Mercy, then they become, “The Motels”.
